About Us

We are building a community-owned mesh network in Lane County, Oregon.

We will:
(1) establish a broadband cooperative as a viable alternative to traditional ISPs
(2) provide low-income & rural communities with high-quality, open-access broadband
(3) create a resilient communications platform to assist residents during disasters
(4) become a principal resource for increasing digital and STEM literacy in Lane County

Why Mesh129?

As a hat-tip to the significance of this auspicious undertaking, we have named the network after the founding date of Lane County: January 29th (1851).
